Toddler Schedule (Ages 1 - 2 years)

Toddlers are ready to learn how to follow a daily schedule with their class! Our amazing teachers here at BBA create a schedule that works for their specific room. See below for a  general example.

Arrival & Breakfast

Open - 9:00 AM

As children arrive, they are greeted by their teachers! They will have free play while waiting for their friends to arrive until breakfast is served.

Circle Time

9:00 AM - 9:30 AM

We start our day by getting together as a class to talk briefly about the plans we have created for the day. We will also do things like reading books or singing songs!

Morning Snack

9:30 AM - 9:45 AM

It’s time to eat a healthy snack to prepare us for more fun and learning!

Centers

9:45 AM - 10:15 AM

Centers are such an important part of our classrooms! Children will work on a theme-related activity with their teacher or play and explore on their own.

Outdoor Play

10:15 AM - 11:15 AM

It’s time to get some fresh air! Children mostly play on their own using their imagination or do a group activity led by their teacher.

Lunch

11:15 AM - 11:45 AM

Time to wash our hands and eat a delicious and nutritious lunch!

Nap time

11:45 AM - 2:45 PM

Quiet time! Most children will nap, but if they happen to never fall asleep or wake up early, they are more than welcome to do quiet time activities such as looking at a book or puzzles!

P.M Snack

2:45 PM - 3:00 PM

They will enjoy another nutritious snack provided by the center.

Outdoor Play

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

It is time to go outside again! Children might do an activity as a class together or choose to play on their own.

Group Time

4:15 PM - 4:30 PM

After a busy day, it is time to talk as a class about all of the activities that we did that day, and to discuss the activities planned for the following day! We will also sing songs or read a book as well.

Free Play and Pick Up

4:30 PM - Close

At this time, children are given the space to explore and play in the activity centers on their own.
